Robert Leigh Binns

April 23, 1942 - May 21, 2013

Robert Leigh Binns, son of Troy and Alma (Durham) Binns, was born, April 23, 1942, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He married Georgia Ann Timson May 17, 1985 in Oskaloosa. Bob worked repairing furniture at Dooley Manufacturing for 25 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of The Good News Chapel. He enjoyed his work, watching football and his dog and cats. Bob’s family includes his wife, Georgia of Oskaloosa; daughters, Betty Binns of Ottumwa and Naomi (Jeffrey) Verschuure of Columbia, Iowa; sisters, Louise (Doyle) Churchill of Newton and Lois Davis of Indiana; and a brother, Gayle (Carol) Binns of Knoxville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Binns on October 28, 2004; two brothers, Emmert and Kenneth Binns; and a sister, Betty Parlet.
