The remains of a former citizen and businessman of this city arrived here this morning for interment. Capt. J. B. Cobaugh, who left here in 1888 for St. Joseph, Mo., died there last Friday.

Capt. Cobaugh was born in Shippensburg, Pa., in 1833. He came here in 1871 and was engaged for years in the hardware business in this city with John Clippinger. He continued to reside here until 1888, when with this family, removed to St. Joe. He was a member and captain of Company H, 202 Pa., Vol. He was stricken with apoplexy Thanksgiving and never recovered.

He leaves his wife and two sons and two daughters. Five children had preceded him to the beyond, two sons and two daughters being buried here and another daughter in St. Joe. The remains were accompanied by Mrs. Cobaugh, her son Harry, daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Schatz.

All went to the home of their old time friend and neighbor, Geo. W. Guthrie, and the funeral was held this afternoon at one-thirty, only brief services being conducted by Rev. R. L. Tate.
