Frank Stevens

The Newton News, Monday, October 5, 1903

Page 1, Column 4

Only a few meager words by telegraph, but what a world of import. After great anxiety and waiting, then buoyed up by hope, came the fateful word Saturday afternoon that Frank Stevens had passed away and would be buried in Spokane, where his wife’s people live.

Frank was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stevens of this city and a brother to Mrs. A. H. Bergman. He was born in Lodi, Wis., Feb 13, 1854, but came to this city when only about four years of age and here grew to manhood. He was a whole souled young man and his death seems a very great pity. The blow comes to his parents and sister with almost crushing force and the sympathy of all is with them.
