Marcella Branch February 17, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY

Marcella Munson Branch transitioned to her heavenly home on February 17, 2013. She was born in Newton, Iowa to her parents, James Price Munson and Edyth Huffman Munson.

When still a young child the family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas where she grew up. She graduated as Valedictorian from NLR High School.

She met and married John W. Branch and to this union a son, James, was born in 1957. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1968. During the 1970's she was active in several business women's organizations and attained her CPS rating. She was employed by The Endocrine Society as Executive Director of its National Headquarters Business Office.

In recent years Marcella has enjoyed her memberships in the Ladies Music Club, OK Historical Society, OKC Republican Women and Oklahoma Metaphysical Society among others. But most important to her was her work with the India Shrine Widows Club, being a charter member in 1989. She held several offices and served as President in 2000 and 2001. She was a member of Crown Heights Christian Church and also attended Unity Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her son, James, and his wife Debra, her step-child, John W. Branch of Salem, Oregon, and dear loving friend, Frances Boggs of Salem, Oregon, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, several step-grandchildren and many friends.

She was a loving person, very dedicated and loyal and will be dearly missed. Services will be held at Guardian West Funeral Home on Friday, February 22, at 10am. She will be buried beside her husband and father at Arkansas Memorial Gardens Little Rock, Arkansas.
