Hannah Tobey was born in County Galway, Ireland, about 83 years ago. Fifty-eight years ago she was married to James Hickey, who died a quarter of a century ago. She has lived in this county over half a century.

Grandmother Hickey died at her home on Washington Street last night after a sickness of four weeks. She leaves four children, Mrs. Nora Murphy who lived with her, Mrs. Chris Herbold, Mrs. Williamson of California, and James who lives here. The funeral will occur at Sacred Heart Church Monday at 9:30 in charge of Father Loftus. ~ The Newton Daily Herald, Saturday, March 7, 1903, Page 4, Column 3
