Cora Hanawalt died Tuesday, services Friday

Colfax – Mrs. Ralph Everett (Cora Annis) Hanawalt of Colfax, a longtime resident of the Colfax and
Prairie City communities died Tuesday at the Resthaven in Newton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at the United Methodist Church in Colfax.

The Reverend Leonard Root of the United Methodist Church in Prairie City and the Reverend Leonard
W. Rowse of the Colfax church will conduct services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
Walters Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.

Survivors are five sons, George R. of Monroe, Ralph Everett Jr. of Stratford, Darryl R., Harold Raymond and James Robert all of Colfax.

A sister, Mrs. Jessie Potter of Excelsior Springs, MO and a brother, Clarence Malcomson of Whitworth, SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband October 1, 1956. Mrs. Hanawalt was a member of the
United Methodist Church in Prairie City.

The daughter of Riley and Mary Jane Ervin (Irwin) Malcomson, she was born October 23, 1882 at Prairie City. She was married to Ralph Everett Hanawalt May 17, 1905 in Colfax. ~ Rootsweb.com.
