Forest, six-year-old son of E. A. Barton, who recently moved here from Illinois and who lives on the Hi Hand farm northeast of town, died Friday morning from dropsy. The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, interment being at Wittemberg. The funeral was private because of the fact that Mr. Hand’s folks have the diphtheria, and the two families live in the same house.
