S. P. Alexander

Maj. S. P. Alexander, father of Mrs. E. J. H. Beard, died last Friday night at his home in Hamburg, Iowa, at the age of ninety years. Mrs. Beard and daughter, Miss Gertrude, has been there for some time with him. Prof. Beard went out on the night train to attend the funeral. ~ The Newton Daily Herald, Monday, February 9, 1903
