Ina Mae Davenport, 86, of Mingo passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

The daughter of Paul and Jeannetta (Jones) Magg, Ina Mae was born on Oct. 26, 1926, in rural Colfax. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 14, at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, with burial following at Mitchellville Cemetery, in Mitchellville.

Visitation will be at the funeral home prior to the service, from noon to 2 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to HCI Care Services of Central Iowa, in Ina Mae’s name, or to the family. Ina Mae Davenport, age 86. of Mingo, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. The daughter of Paul and Jeannetta (Jones) Magg, Ina Mae was born on October 26, 1926, in rural Colfax. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, with burial following at Mitchellville Cemetery, in Mitchellville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service, from noon to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to HCI Care Services of Central Iowa, in Ina Mae's name, or to the family.

Ina Mae attended Bear Grove Country School and graduated from Farrar High School in 1945. On February 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Thomas Dale Davenport at her parents home near Mingo. She worked in Des Moines prior to her marriage; farmed with her husband until 1966; worked at Clearview Manor Nursing Home for several years; and worked for many years at the Mingo Locker. In earlier years, she very much enjoyed relaxing at her home away from home at Twin Anchors Campground.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Tom of 64 years; daughter, Marna; son, Larry; special adopted grandchildren, Alex (Nicole) Frangopol and great-granddaughter Mia Frangopol, all of Mingo. Also surviving are two sisters, Arlene (Gene) Danley, of Des Moines and Erma McKinney, of Altoona; two brothers Harold (Marjorie) Magg and Norman (Roslyn) Magg both of Spirit Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
