Obituary
Norman Paul Cochran, of Rolla, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the age of 93. He was born in Baxter, Iowa on January 7, 1920 to the late Otis L. Cochran and Zella Mae “Mom” Jeffers Cochran.

On June 27, 1941 he married Alice Eileen Ramsey, who preceded him in death in March of 1983. Mr. Cochran was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII from 1942-45 where he earned two Bronze Stars and was partially disabled in battle.

Norm worked 27 years as a mail carrier through the Rolla Post Office. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Rolla and the Rolla Optimist Club. He was also a Life Member of the Missouri Bowling Hall of Fame and former member of the Rolla Elks Lodge. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Myrna, Lois, Betty, and Mary. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Lita Cochran, of Corpus Christi, TX and John and Cathy Cochran, of Union, KY; one brother, Tom Cochran, of St. James, MO; a sister, Wanda Loughridge, of Rolla; 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service for Norman Cochran will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
