Florence "Louise" Salstrom, 94, passed from this life on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel with burial following at the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.

Louise was born on November 23, 1918 in Sioux City, Iowa, to John and Mary (Riedeman) Wilson. She graduated from Sioux City Central High School. Louise married Edward Salstrom on July 5, 1941 in Kansas City, MO. She has lived in Des Moines since 1939. Louise co-owned Salstrom's Jewelers from 1951 until she retired in 1981. She was President of the Quota Club and Women's Chamber of Commerce and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Louise is survived three nephews, Peter and John Schandorff of St. Louis, MO; and Dr. Mark Schandorff (Patsy) of Lynch Station, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents, John and Mary Ann Wilson; brother, John L. Wilson; and sister, Margaret Schandorff.
