Died at the home of his son, G. W. Livingston, Friday morning, Sept. 12, 1902, Eligia Livingston, aged 85 years, 7 mo. and 17 days. He was born June 21, 1817, in the state of Indiana, was married to Mariah Clark in 1840, came to Iowa in 1851, and located in Davis Co., Drakesville, where he resided until by a stroke of paralysis he was not capable of caring for himself, when in May 1901, he came to Monroe, where he has since resided with his son George. The immediate cause of death was heart failure superinduced by a late attack of pneumonia. The remains of the deceased were taken Saturday morning to Drakesville for interment, by the side of his wife who passed to rest March 7th, 1902.
