Many Newton people will remember Ira K. Willson, the soldierly appearing young man who went to the Philippines and was discharged for wounds. He settled in Colorado with his mother, who died at Denver Sunday after an illness of three or four months. Mrs. Franklin, daughter of Mrs. Willson, who used to reside on South Market Street, but who has been a resident of Colorado for the past year or so, has been taking care of her mother for some time and accompanied the remains to Monroe where the interment took place today.
