Died, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Slocum, some five miles south of Monroe, George Slocum, aged 32 years. He had been in poor health for several months and death came as a release from suffering. The funeral took place from the home at 2 o’clock this Monday afternoon, Rev. D. M. Helmick conducting the services. The interment was in the family lot in the Monroe Cemetery.
