Died, at his home three miles west of Monroe, July 25th, 1902, Miles Scott, aged 79 years. Heart disease was the immediate cause of death. He attended church on Sunday and was in town on Monday, so we were informed. He was a good man, a member of the M. E. Church of Monroe; was class leader of the church for years. He was a Christian and lived it every day. The funeral was form his late home Sunday afternoon. Rev. Helmick conducted the service. He leaves two daughters and one son, Robert, with whom he has made his home since the death of his wife some three years ago. The interment was in the Monroe Cemetery.
