Karen Elaine (Harlow) Lunz, 70, of Newton died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Karen’s name may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

Karen, the daughter of Alfred and Icyle (Sams) Harlow, was born on June 9, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Newton. After leaving Newton for a few years she returned in 2001. Karen enjoyed puzzles, reading and was a talented crocheter.

Those left to honor Karen’s memory are her children, David, Rebecca, Wesley, Kenneth and Richard White and Angela Stier; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Curtis, Elizabeth, Lori and Wilma Harlow; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Franklin and Theodore Harlow. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.
