Terry Lloyd Rose, 60, of rural Kellogg, died on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was an organ donor. A celebration of Terry’s life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Izaak Walton League in Newton. The family requests no flowers; however memorials to the Terry Rose Memorial Fund may be left at the Izaak Walton League the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

Terry, the son of Lloyd and Helen (Hoffert) Rose-Owens, was born on March 25, 1952, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He graduated from Newton High School in the class of 1970 and from Des Moines Area Community College in 1975. Terry was a self-employed electrician. He was a member of the Emerson Hough Chapter of the Izaak Walton League and the Kellogg Christian Church. Terry was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend.

Those left to honor Terry’s memory are his wife, Julie (Veber) Rose of rural Kellogg; two daughters, Amanda (Shawn) Gymer of Ankeny and Graham (Pat) Sullivan of Newton; his two grandchildren, Laek Rose and Sean Sullivan; sister, Cindy Deeter of Warsaw, Indiana; his brother, Jeff (Rhonda) Rose of Ankeny; 10 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Roger Owens. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.
