Mrs. Sarah Van Gilder died at her home four miles northeast of Prairie City last Friday morning, being well up in years, almost eighty. She had not been sick long. She leaves quite a large family of children whose homes are in different parts of the country, some of them being so far away that word of their mother’s death could not be gotten to them in time for them to come to attend the funeral, which occurred Sunday at one o’clock, interment being in the cemetery on the Greenleaf farm.
