Stephen Morris, who had for many years been a respected citizen of this county, died at his home near Rushville last Saturday evening very suddenly. He was about 64 years of age and was a native of Guernsey County, Ohio. He was a member of Co. I, 10th Iowa Inf., during the Civil War. He and his good wife were preparing to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary Monday evening. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Morris. Deceased was a member of the M. E. Church at Rushville and the funeral occurred there Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock.
