George B. Hotchkiss

George B. Hotchkiss was born in Centerville, Allegheny County, New York, July 13th, 1817, and was married to Theressa S. Flanders in Honeoye Falls, New York, in 1839 and later moved to Wisconsin, then to Jasper Co., Iowa, June 10, 1857. He died Feb. 2nd, 1901, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 20 days. He leaves to mourn his death, three daughters and one son, Mrs. Debbie A. Sullivan, Phillipsburg, Montana, Mrs. Phebe Tripp, Newton. Iowa, George J. Hotchkiss and Mrs. Robert Denniston, at whose home he had lived for four years and also died. He leaves a number of grandchildren, also several great grandchildren. Rev. Stiles conducted the services at the home of Robert Denniston Sunday afternoon. The remains were taken to Mt. Zion for internment.
