Page 1, Column 5Our sympathy goes out to Sheriff C. H. Hook and family in the loss of their beloved daughter, Charlotte, who died Wednesday evening last week of consumption, aged seventeen years. She was a charming young lady and it seems hard that she should be taken from life’s scenes just as she was reaching womanhood.
The funeral was held in Monroe, where deceased had always lived until a year ago. Quite a number of friends of the family accompanied the remains to Monroe Friday morning.
