Beverly Bauer, 90, of Altoona died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at her home in Altoona.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Howard Street Christian Church, with burial following at McKeever Cemetery. Beverly Bauer, age 90 of Altoona, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at her home in Altoona. The daughter of Earl and Myrtle (Williams) Plummer, Bev was born on August 4, 1922 in Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1940. On August 14, 1942, she was united in marriage to Gerald L. Bauer in Colfax. Bev was a farm wife and also helped her husband in the real estate business for ten years. She lived in Colfax until 1997, when she and Gerald moved to Altoona. They also enjoyed wintering in Sun City, Arizona for many years. Bev was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, Poweshiek Township Women's Club and Chapter BA PEO.

Bev is survived by a sister, Eileen Gardner of Newton and many wonderful loving friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband Gerald. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home Website.
