Memorial Service: 2 p.m., Saturday, July 07, 2012 at at the funeral home.
Visitation: Following the services with a coffee time on Saturday, July 07, 2012 at at the funeral home
Interment: Immediately following the Memorial service on Saturday, July 07, 2012 at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Those left to honor Chadd's memory are his wife, Leslie of Roxboro, North Carolina; son, Sabin Justice De Joode Hoagland of Pella; his mom, Sherry F. (Danny “Bud”) Bishop of Iowa City; his dad, R. L. “Bud” (Karla Jordan) Hoagland of Monroe; three brothers, Todd Hoagland of Iowa City, Rodd Hoagland of Monroe and Rich Samuelson of Newton; his grandfather, Melvin Geurts of Lynnville; niece, Chloe Hoagland of Iowa City; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thadd in 2003; and grandparents, Iris Geurts in 2002 and Ralph “Speck” and Johanna Hoagland.

Chadd was a lumberjack for Kendrick’s Tree Service in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Chadd was a member of the Leasburg Bass Assassins.

Chadd was an all around outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, animals, and hunting for mushrooms.
