Memorial Service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at the funeral home.
Visitation: The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the funeral home.

A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Marysville Cemetery in Marysville, Iowa.

Those left to honor Leon's memory are his son, Keith P. Braden of Kellogg; three brothers, LaVerne “Bun” (Pat) Braden of Oskaloosa, Duaine (Sharon) Braden of Oskaloosa, and Ronnie “YT” (Sharon) Braden of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Darlene Sams of Oskaloosa, and Judy (Ron) Topel of Phoenix, Arizona; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Leatha in 2002; brother, Donald; and sister, W. Pauline Walker.

Leon served his country in the U. S. Navy.

Leon worked as a production worker for the Maytag Company for many years, when he retired he worked in the Maintenance Department. Leon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, pitching horse shoes, mushroom hunting, gardening, bird watching, and playing golf.
