Those left to honor Ray's memory are his siblings, Margaret (Ed) Miller of Overland Park, Kansas, Robert (Vivian) Schultz of Newton, Kenneth (Fran) Schultz of Newton, and Dorothy Schultz of Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred F. and Mary M. (Teller) Schultz.
Ray was a graduate of Newton High School in 1960.
