OBITUARY

Rites Held For Lawrence Kintz Feb. 10

Lawrence Mailand Kintz, 70, a longtime resident of Colfax, died Monday, Feb. 8, at the Des Moines General Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Gaylon Decious of Storm Lake, former pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, conducted services.
Burial was in the McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Casket bearers were John Shaffer, Francis Millburn, Richard Beals, Keith Nicodemus, Frank Millburn and Charles O'Roake.
Surviviors are his wife, Selena; four step-children, Richard Rasmusson of Des Moines, Susan Warren of Newton, Deborah Rasmusson of Colfax, and Larry Rasmusson; his mother, Louise Davis of Clearview Manor in Prairie City; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Hill of Colfax and Helen Broughton of Mitchellville; and a half-brother, Glenn Putnam of Medford, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Mr. Kintz, a former mechanic, had been a crane operator.
The son of William and Louise Mailand Kintz, he was born May 8, 1911 in Newton.
He was married to Selena Bittner Feb. 26, 1969 in Colfax.
