MRS. JOHN W. MORGAN

Dencie Julina, daughter of Joseph and Almeria Braley, was born in Kellogg, Iowa, October 3, 1876, and passed away at her home, Baldwin Park, California, January 24, 1921. She grew to young womanhood here in Kellogg in her father's home among a large family of brothers and sisters. United with the Congregational church in early girlhood and all through her years endeavored to lead an earnest, consistent christian life. She graduated from the Kellogg High School in 1895, and attended Grinnell college the next year. Afterwards taking two years training in the State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She taught in the public schools at Kellogg and at Laurens, Iowa, where she was very popular with the pupils and patrons, until her marriage with John W. Morgan, October 3, 1903. They soon located at Laurens where they were engaged in the drug business, and here they spent happy and useful years together. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was an enthusiastic worker, holding the office of Grand Marshall in 1917.

For more than a year her home has been in California as she purchased an orange grove at Baldwin Park. She had not been in good health for some time and in November underwent a serious operation, from which she never fully recovered, gradually growing weaker, until she passed from mortal sight, to be at rest and peace.

Burial was at Baldwin Park, Wednesday, January 26.

Besides her husband and daughter, Gertrude, Mrs. Morgan leaves six brothers and sisters, W.C. Braley and Mrs. J.B. Stair of Azusa, California; Mrs. W.H. Stuart, Grinnell; J.C. Braley, Eads, Colorado; Mrs. W.R. Morgan, Newton and C.A. Braley, Grand Meadows, Minnesota, and many other relatives and friends in this vicinity and elsewhere, who mourn her untimely death.--Kellogg Enterprise.
