Lloyd A. Dodd, 93, of Baxter died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include his three grandsons, Jason (Kimberly) Dodd of Bloomington, Ill., Jeff (Lisa) Dodd of LeHigh, Fla., and Tony (Melissa) Dodd of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; seven great-grandchildren, Tarynn, Keely, Hunter, Reece, Joshua, Teeghan and Morgan; and his three sisters, Irene Pierce of Newton, Shirley (Darrell) Dee of Baxter and Emily Griggs of Newton.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verba, in 2006; his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sue Dodd; one brother; and five sisters.
