The friends of J. L. Taylor and wife of Runnels will be sorry to hear of the death of their little daughter Ethel. She was an extraordinary bright child, and was beloved by all who have seen her, although she was but a little over five months old. She seemed to be in apparent good health when retiring at night and at 2 o'clock the mother got up and rocked her to sleep and at early dawn when they awoke, Jan. 23, 1894, she was dead. The bereaved have the heartfelt sympathy of a host of friends. ~ The Newton (IA) Herald, February 2, 1894.
