Mr. and Mrs. John Moss buried their little 13-month old daughter, Helen May, on Thursday. The little one was stricken down by paralysis of the left lung. A sad fatality seems to attend the family of Mr. Moss. Since his arrival in this city from England, about ten years ago, eight of their children have sickened and died and lie buried in our cemetery. Every parent will sympathize with them in their sorrow. ~ The Journal, Newton, Iowa, August 14, 1879, page 3.
