Sharon K. (Hendricks) Spuehr of Sully died on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14. at the Sully Community Church, 12559 S. 92nd Ave. E. in Sully.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Condolences may also be sent by going to wallacefamilyfuneralhome.com.
Burial will be at the St. Andrews Cemetery in rural Killduff.
Memorials in Sharon’s name may be left at the funeral home, the church on the morning of the service or mailed to the Great Western Bank, P.O. Box 268, Sully, IA 50251.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Dr. Hiatt, Dr. Franco, the nurses on eighth floor at Mercy and to the staff at Mercy Hospice in Johnston for all the care and support you have given.
Survivors include Sharon’s husband, William R. “Rusty” Spuehr of Sully; daughter, Andrea Allen of Ankeny; son, Dustin (Emily) Hendricks of Grundy Center; four grandchildren, Allyson and Joshua Allen and Dylan and Cale Hendricks; two sisters; three brothers; four sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; mother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews that Sharon loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Duane Hendricks; brother, Dwayne Van Cleave; and brother-in-law, Larry Hendricks.
