The death of Mrs. Lizzie French Wall, which occurred at her home in Moline, Ill., last Tuesday morning, has brought sorrow to the hearts of many people in this vicinity, who knew her intimately from her birth, through childhood, youth and until her marriage about five years ago, when she moved with her young husband to a home of her own in the city where she died. Mrs. Wall was the only daughter of Courtland French, of this city, and was born in Palo Alto Township. On the 13th of March 1891, she was united in marriage to her now bereaved husband, F. E. Wall. To them were born three children, - the oldest four years of age, and the youngest but eleven months.

The body arrived in Newton Wednesday night, accompanied by her husband and also her father who had been at her bedside since Friday. The funeral services were held at the U. P. Church in Palo Alto Township, at 2 o’clock yesterday, conducted by Rev. D. Phillips, of the M. E. Church, and attended by a large number of those among whom the earlier years of her life had been spent. Her age was 30 years and 11 months. Besides her bereaved husband and little children, she leaves a father, whose love was centered in her, and who expected soon to make his home with her; also three brothers, Chas. E., Robert A. and Henry W. French; to all of whom the tenderest sympathy is extended. ~ The Newton Record, Friday, June 12, 1896, Page 1, Column 4
