Death of Jerry Wise

Mr. O. Farnham received a telegram Wednesday morning bearing the sad intelligence of the death of his son-in-law, Mr. Jerry Wise, which occurred at his home near Kansas City, at 9 o’clock Tuesday evening. Mr. Wise lived in this city for sixteen or eighteen years, leaving here about four years ago. He was a good man, and will be kindly remembered by a large circle of friends and old neighbors. The body will arrive in this city today, and the funeral services will be held in the Congregational Church at one o’clock this afternoon. ~ The Newton Record, Friday, January 17, 1896, Page 1, Column 6
