A little four-year-old son of John Batty, near Colfax, died very suddenly, from lung trouble, last Tuesday. The little fellow was apparently in his usual health until nine o’clock in the morning, and died about four o’clock in the afternoon. ~ The Newton Record, Newton, IA, Friday, February 21, 1896 Page 9, Column 3
