Arthur Buckroyd was born at Oswalt, Iowa, March 5, 1893, and died near mine number 8, southeast of Colfax, Iowa, Sunday July 24, 1910. He leaves a father and mother, a grandfather, three brothers and three sisters, to mourn the loss. He was an ideal youth as to morals and fondness for home and relatives, and was beloved by all who knew him; on his dying bed he told his mother that he was going to heaven and for her to pray aloud for him. When the Lord called him he went without a struggle, and without apparent pain, to join those dear to him gone before. The funeral services were on Wednesday p.m. from the M. E. church in Colfax and the interment was at the McKeever cemetery.
