FRED DIEHM OF THE KELLOGG VICINITY DIED ON FRIDAY

Fred Diehm of Kellogg, a brother of Andrew Diehm of Grinnell, died Friday night in a Marshalltown hospital. He was 65 years old and was a lifelong resident of Jasper county. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Kellogg Christian church with interment in Our Silent City cemetery in Kellogg.

Survivors in addition to his brother are his wife, Mrs. Stella Diehm and a number of nieces and nephews.

The son of Valentine and Elizabeth Diehm, he was born Nov. 4, 1884 on a farm north of Newton. Mr. Diehm was educated in Jasper county schools and was married to Stella Shill Dec. 1, 1916.

Mr. Diehm lived on a farm northwest of Kellogg for 26 years before moving to his present farm near Kellogg in 1916.

He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church of Kellogg.
