MINGO — Darwin Dale Huffaker passed away May 24, 2010.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. June 2, at Ashton Chapel in rural Mingo.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Gary (Donna) Huffaker; Barry (Kyla) Huffaker; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Jaime) and Clint (Christie); three step-sons, Leonard (Toni Ann), Dennis (Mary) and Kenny (Kendra) Hapes; a brother, Max (Kate); and a sister, Norma Barker.

Darwin Huffaker, 76, passed from this life on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada.
Services will be June 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Ashton Chapel, rural Mingo. Family will receive friends and relatives from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the church service.
Darwin was born March 24, 1934 in LeClaire, IA, son of Ruby and Dale Huffaker. Spent most of his life working as a mechanic for several different businesses and out of his own garage until he retired.
He is survived by second wife, Phyllis Hapes Huffaker, Long Term Care, Nevada; two sons, Gary (Donna) Huffaker, Collins and Barry (Kyla) Huffaker, Monroe; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Jamie) Huffaker, Pella Clint (Christie) Huffaker, Ankeny; two great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Barker, Bowling Green, KY; brother Max (Katie) Huffaker, Colo; three step-children, Leonard (Toni) Hapes, Imperial, NE, Dennis (Mary) Hapes, Mingo and Kenny ( Kenda) Hapes, Nevada. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Beverly G. Huffaker; son, Terry; and granddaughters, Jane and Jolene Huffaker.
