Emma L. Roth, 97, of 1500 1st Ave. E., died of heart failure Tuesday, September 5, at Skiff Medical Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton. Father Philip Cardenzana will officiate. Burial will be at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

She graduated from Kellogg High School in 1920. She worked as a bookkeeper at Midwest Metal Stamping in Kellogg for 30 years before retiring in 1967. Prior to that she worked at the Donnley Company in Nevada.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton. She enjoyed gardening in the summer and raising flowers in her house in the winter.

Survivors include a nephew and his wife; Daniel and Barbara Roth of Oakdale, Minn.; three great nieces and nephews; and five great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Note: She was the daughter of Hiram S. and Anna Brien Roth. She had a brother, James D. Roth and a sister, Mary S. Roth.
