Death of John Lust

John Lust, sixty-five year of age, died at the home of his son, Albert Lust, 8 miles west of Monroe, last Sunday morning. He was taken sick Thursday night and submitted to an operation on Friday from which he never rallied. He is survived by his widow and 5 children - Albert Lust, George, Lust, Mrs. Henry Eggert, Mrs. Elsie Shelton and Mrs. Maggie Brunner. Funeral was from the Baptist Church of Monroe Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Lust was a splendid citizen and a good Christian man. He had been a resident of Jasper County since before the Civil War.
