Former Resident, Dies on Sunday

Robert W. Meredith, 61, formerly of Newton, died Sunday at Ukiah,Calif.

Memorial contributions to the Cancer Fund will be accepted.

Survivors are twin daughters of California; his father Verne Meredith of California; a sister, Mrs. Jean King of California; two aunts, Erma Nicholson and Reva Meredith, both of Newton; and a cousin, Jack Nicholson of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Kathryn Dunigan, in January, 1977.

Mr. Meredith, a director of county welfare in Ukiah, was a graduate of Newton Community High School.
