Mabel M. Mullins, Monroe Resident, Dies on Friday
Monroe.-- Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie L. (Mabel Myrtle) Mullins, 88, of Monroe were held today at the United Methodist Church in Monroe.
The Rev. Jerry Wolcott, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Pella Garden Chapel in Monroe handled arrangements.
Memorials to a fund set up in Mrs. Mullin's name will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
She died Friday at the Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville.
Survivors are a son, Dale of rural Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Nolin of Monroe; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Maude Herwehe of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1939; a brother, Willis; and a sister, Minnie Woody.
The daughter of John and Jane Kindred Sheeler, she was born May 4, 1890 at Brownell, Kan.
She was married Oct. 9, 1912 at Knoxville.
