Mrs. Fred Cline Former Colfax Resident, Dies

Colfax--Mrs. Fred Arthur (Margaret Lotham) Cline, 84, 820 E. Seneca Ave., Des Moines, a resident of Colfax until 1931, died Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walters Funeral Home.

The Rev. Charles Wilder, minister of the Baptist Church, Colfax, will officiate, and burial will be in McKeever Cemetery,north of Colfax.

Surviving are two sons, JOhn E. of Denvere, Colo., and Ross W. of New Carrollton, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Jay Polley of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ray Beals of Langley, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sept. 18, 1946.

Mrs. Cline was a member of the First Baptist Church, Colfax.

The daughter of John and Mary Wilding Jones, she was born Sept 1, 1885, at Colfax.

She was married May 17, 1908, at Boone. ~ Newton Daily News, November 5, 1969
