Funeral services for Elijah Scot Lewis, 6-week-old son of Amanda Plumb and Rodney Lewis of Newton, will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. A visitation with the family present will be Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery near Ira.
Memorials have been designated in Elijah’s name
Elijah Scot Lewis, was born March 30, 2009, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton and died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.
Elijah was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Van Plumb.
Those left to honor the memory of Elijah include his parents, Rodney Lewis and Amanda Plumb, both of Newton; brothers, William Joel Lewis and Noah Charles Lewis; paternal grandmother, Karla Lewis of Northwood; maternal grandmother, Kimberley Plumb of Newton; paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Eleanor Lewis of Colfax; maternal great-grandparents, Bill and Jan Plumb of Newton, Mark and Cindy Faircloth of Kellogg and Larry and Linda Land of Johnston; aunt, Hattie Lewis of Northwood; uncles, Cainen Plumb and Dylan Plumb, both of Newton; and many other extended family members.
