MITCHELLVILLE — Esther Pauline Pearson, 84, of Mitchellville died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Mitchell Village Care Center of Mitchellville.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 6, at Coburn Funeral Home of Prairie City at 10:30 a.m. with burial following at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Bert and Nora (Christian) Marshall, Esther was born on April 24, 1925 at Knoxville, Iowa. Esther was united in marriage with Morris Pearson on July 9, 1949 in Macon, Missouri. Esther was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed raising her children.
Those left to honor her memory are her daughters; Mrs. Linda (Alan) Rundall of Cedar Falls, and Judy Singer of West Des Moines, sons; Joe Pearson of Des Moines, Jeff Pearson of Des Moines, Jack Pearson of Monroe, Jerry Pearson of Newton, and Jim Pearson of Mitchellville, one brother; Floyd Marshall of Letts, seven grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson; John Morris Singer, her parents, eight brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
