Death of Samuel Warn

Samuel Warn died at the residence of Jacob Trotter in this city, Dec. 9th, of heart failure. Deceased would have been seventy years old next Christmas. He was born in England. His wife died seven years ago last February. Two sons and seven daughters survive him. Deceased was a good husband and a kind father. One year ago he was converted and he died in the hope of a blessed immortality. The funeral was at the residence, services conducted by Rev. McKee of the United Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Jacoby. The body was laid to rest in the McKeever Cemetery by the side of his wife. ~ The Newton (IA) Record, Friday, December 13, 1895, Page 4, Column 5
