Sanderfield, Beulah Irene – 1911-2008

Beulah Irene Sanderfield, 97, of Newton, the daughter of Arthur and Leona Mae (Severance) Carlson, was born on October 4, 1911 in Gill Township, Clay County, Kan. She graduated from the Beatrice, Neb., High School, class of 1929.
On March 9, 1935, Irene was united in marriage with John Johan Sanderfield in Savannah, Mo. She had devoted her life to her husband, family and friends, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Melbourne, Fla. Irene had lived in Hopkins, Mo., Bedford and Melbourne; prior to moving to Newton. She was employed as a certified nurse's aide. She enjoyed and loved her family and reading.
Irene died on Thursday morning, Nov. 27, 2008 at the USA Health Care in Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband John.
Funeral services and burial for Irene, will be at a later date in the Fountainhead Memorial Cemetery, Palm Bay, Fla. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton has been entrusted with arrangements.
Those left to honor Irene's memory include her son and daughter-in-law: Marvin and Verna Sanderfield of Montezuma; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her good neighbors and friends at USA Health Care.
Memorials in Irene's name are being designated to Iowa Hospice, and may be left at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home.
