Rickey, 45, the son of Hancle Ben Mundell and Mary Lou (Vasquez) Maine, was born Jan. 7, 1963, in Des Moines. A longtime resident of the Des Moines area, he moved to Newton in 2006.
Ricky died on Friday morning, Nov. 14, at his home. Funeral services will be at a later date, with Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, entrusted with the arrangements. Friends may greet the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Tribute Center, 201 E. Fourth St. N.
He was preceded in death by his father. Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Jennifer, Missy, Stephanie, Emilee and Halee; his mother, Mary Lou Maine of Newton; and his brother, Tim (Betty) Vasquez of Des Moines. (Interment at Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines, IA)
