JOSEPH JARRELL

Services for Joseph Jarrell, 84, who died April 25, 1980 at Collins Hospital were held April 29 from Bybee & Davis Funeral Home.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Rev. Dan Herndon officiated at the services. Organist was Dawn McKay and soloist was Rick Bowlsby.

Pallbearers: Robert Holmes, Randal Holmes, Wesley De Moss, Mike Fort, Benny De Moss and Steve Nicoson.

Mr. Jarrell was born August 13, 1895 at Warrensburg, Tenn., the son of George and Susan Robinson Jarrell. He came to Marion County as a young man and farmed in the Dunreath, Pleasantville and Knoxville areas.

He was married to Bernice Betterton who preceded him in death on December 29, 1950. On July 3, 1953 he married Nellie Holmes.

He was employed at the Maytag Company in Newton from 1942 until 1960.

Surviving are his wife Nellie of Pleasantville, a son, Philip of Webster City, Ia., a sister, Mrs. Orpha Livinston of Warrensburg, Tenn., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, four stepchildren, Wendell Holmes of Newton, Iowa, Iona Ruckman of Colfax, Doris De Moss of Pleasantville and Kathryn Glover of Commerce, Okla. and several step grandchildren.
