Frank Dennis Guthrie, 56, of Newton passed away, surrounded by his family and friends, on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow the memorial service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Prairie City.
Memorials may be left in Frank’s name at the funeral home.
The son of Glenn and Darlene (Reynolds) Guthrie, Frank was born Dec. 18, 1951. He was united in marriage to Kathy Jo Osborn in Newton.
Survivors include his two sons, Nathan Guthrie of Newton and Jason Cline (Minnie Lundberg) of Urbandale; two daughters, Emily Guthrie of Lorimor and Heather Semke (Scott) of Lorimor; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Jacob; and two brothers, Mark Guthrie of Des Moines and Chuck Guthrie of Florida.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kathy Jo Guthrie in 1993.
