Mitchellville — Marie Seiler, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at the Mitchellville Care Center.
Funeral services today, Monday, Oct. 6, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Boone.
Marie was born April 14, 1920, in Jolley to Clarence and Ethel Reed. She was a hair stylist and owned her own salon for 20 years before her retirement in 1980. Marie enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Lynette (Mike) Nelson; son, Thomas (Pam) Seiler; brothers, Donald (JoAnn) Reed and Bill (Jean) Reed; sister, Marilyn Crohan; grandchildren, Kelle (Joe) Sickerson, Jenny (Todd) Birkenholtz, Staci (Humberto) Ortiz and Blake Seiler; and great-grandchildren, Jayme, Katie, McKayla, Keller and baby Ortiz on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Seiler; parents, Clarence and Ethel Reed; two brothers, Charles and Robert Reed; and a sister, Fearl Richmond.
